Cegled
Cegled is a town in the southern part of the comitat Pest, in the Gate to the Great Hungarian Lowlands, 72 km from the capital city Budapest and has a population of approximately 37,200.

Located on the intersection of important railway lines Cegled has very good traffic connections. The town itself was built in the shape of a circle. Due to its favourable geographical location and the good traffic connections the town has developed into an up-and-coming centre of tourism. Cegled has become an important health resort, its health spa promising to bring relief to convalescents and offering wellness and fitness programmes for healthy people.

Cegled is the city of trees and flowers, the city of lights, but also a centre of education in the local area: five elementary schools, five secondary schools, the consultation centre of the Gabor Denes University for Computing Science as well as a central training centre for tourism manager and accountants are located within the town precincts.

Apricots and summer apples from the orchards around Cegled, grapes and delicious local vines are well-known all over Hungary.

Mühldorf upon Inn has decided to deepen its contacts to Cegled. Several visits on both sides have already consolidated and intensified these contacts, which, of course, should be strengthened with regards to cultural and social aspects as well.

A first project across the borders will be started by the Hauptschule Mühldorf a.Inn together with the schools of Cegled and Iraklio: In mutual cooperation the three schools will cooperate in creating an international cookbook. EU support has already been applied for.
